Game Day Decor!!

Event planner Rebecca Wise shows us game day DIY décor and food ideas!

Here are some tips and tricks on how to throw a great Game Day Party!! From decorating to snacks, your game day festivities will be sure to be a "hit"!
DÉCOR

Football field table

For the base of your party, grab a green table cloth, some felt or if you can find it, some astroturf. some simple chalk or athletic tape lines and white cutout numbers (or in this case embroidery numbers) will instantly give your table the look of a football field!

Centerpieces

Party stores will have all of the bells and whistles, but centerpieces can be as easy as filling a vase or bowl with peanuts or brown sizzle and popping in a handful of baseballs, or filling a baseball glove with on theme bubble gum baseball string lights.

Baseball String Light Garland

Take some standard ping pong balls and draw red lines on them with a red sharpie for baseball stitching and pop them on your string lights for themed lights! Super easy to make and big impact for your party!

FOOD

Baseball stadium snack tray

Have fun with this party theme and make your own DIY stadium snack tray! It's easier than you think, you will just need some foam board/core and a glue gun. Fill it with your favourite game day munchies and sneak some healthy snacks in there too! There are a ton of online tutorials with the exact measurements on how to make this. Here is the one I used: https://dianarambles.com/baseball-snack-stadium/

Concession stand

What is a game day experience without a trip to the concession stand? I basically eat my way through any game... that's half the fun! Create your own with a tiered tray, old school treats like cracker jack and big league chew, along with fan favourites like popcorn, chips and candy bars.

DIY Pretzel Tree

Make your own pretzel stand using a styrofoam cone and some cake pop sticks. This DIY is super easy, but a totally cute addition to any game day party! And don't forget the mustard! Tips: use the smaller cake pop sticks, not the bigger ones. Once you poke them into the styrofoam, pull them out, add a dab of glue and pop them in again to dry overnight.

Themed cakepops

Win big points with your own fans with these adorable game day themed cake pops. They are either super easy to make, or you can contact your local baker to do it for you! Simply Sweets by Suzy made these adorable themed cake pops and cupcakes for my game day festivities.
